Rev'd David McLennan
Rector
Dave moved to Canberra for a career in Defence (mainly spent in the intelligence community). He has also served in the army, including as an infantry soldier on the East Timor border in 2000.
Dave commenced theological studies in Sydney before returning to Canberra-Goulburn Diocese, where he was ordained in 2014. He is married to Cath, a teacher, and they have four teenage children.
Rev'd Dr Andrew Cameron
Senior Associate Priest (Public Theology and Cultural Engagement)
Rev'd Dr Andrew Cameron has enjoyed a long career in theological education, most recently as Director of St Mark's National Theological Centre. He is the author of several books, largely in the field of theological ethics.
Rev'd Anna Krebs
Curate
Anna has had many jobs before beginning theological studies and then ordination – bank teller, student, youth worker, nanny and teacher’s aide, as well as being a wife and mother. She is married to Gavin, and they have a son, daughter-in-law, and two daughters, who all live in Sydney.
Mary De Lautour
Children and Families Worker
Mary De Lautour’s family has worshipped at St John’s since 2017. In early 2023 she was appointed as our Children and Families Worker, mainly responsible for overseeing children’s ministry at our 9.30 service and our Mainly Music program on Wednesday mornings.
Dr Kirsten Lamb
Youth Worker
Kirsten was born in Hong Kong and lived there for many years. She worked there as a secondary English teacher and, more recently, as a lecturer in English literature at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Kirsten is mum to four feathered and two human children. She holds a PhD in English Literature and is a former adolescent.
Rev’d Vicky Cullen
Honorary Assistant Priest
Vicky was a secondary and tertiary teacher for 20 years before ordination. She studied at St Mark’s National Theological Centre and was made deacon in 1988, being appointed to St John’s as curate for 3 years until 1992 when she was ordained priest. During the next 25 years she was rector of several parishes and did more study in counselling and spiritual direction.
Sheila Thompson OAM
Director of Music
Sheila has a performance degree in pipe organ from the Canberra School of Music. She is a teacher of piano and organ and is one of the conductors of the local U3A choir. On Australia Day 2012 she was awarded an Order of Australia in the General Division for the service to the community as a church organist and musical director.
