St John's Anglican Church (1841) and its historic precinct is one of Canberra's treasures. It is an oasis of quiet and beauty in the heart of our nation's capital.
Over those decades, people have come to St John's to worship, to experience the good news of Jesus and to be nourished by belonging to a church community.
The church's ambience, pipe organ, bells, stained glass windows and other works of art have enhanced their worship and spiritual lives.
We invite you to ‘come and see’ (the great invitation made by Jesus himself to his early followers) if our St John’s community is a fit for you!

St John's Community Fair
Our 2024 Community Fair is on Saturday 19 October 2024 from 9am to 2pm.
Drop by for some food, activities for the kids and great bargains. Entertainment (see full program) will include music performances inside the church, and outside a Bush Band, the Canberra Pipes and Drums, medieval tournaments and a traditional maypole dance, and much more besides.
The fair ends at 2pm, leaving plenty of time afterwards to find a polling station and cast your vote in the ACT election.
